Hula Hop jump and go - indoor playground in Limassol

Hello everybody,

This is one of favorite place for a birthday party in Limassol. Everything is close, so you can keep an eye on the children even from the smoking area. Also the position of the tables, in center of the playground area, makes this much easier to stay calm and have a nice cup of coffee. The owner of the place is a very sweet lady that she always enjoys taking care of her customers. She is always around there.

This place has slides, a very nice toddler area, bouncy castle, and a blowing machine for the balls. There are two nice floors of running up and down for the children where are plenty of things to twist and to push and to exercise.

And don’t forget about the sweet girls that they take care for the kids. They are all the time looking after them and helping them. It is great to know that there is always somebody with the children.
So enjoy the photos and do not forget to call in case you need any more information.

EDRO III reck and the Municipal Park Peyia Paphos

Hello everybody,

Coral Bay, Peyia, Paphos are wonderful places in Cyprus where kids can spend a marvelous time outdoor, enjoying the beautiful weather with more than 350 days of sunshine. Day trips with parents, baths in the sea, playing in the sand or on a nice playground are just some of the best activities that can be chosen for our children.

One of the places that I always love when I am going to this area is a trip to the EDRO III wreck.  It is situated very close to the shore which makes the visit very interesting and exciting. This ship ran aground in Paphos in stormy seas two and a half years ago is still stranded on the rocks. The Sierra Leone-flagged, EDRO III, has remained stranded on the rocks in the sea caves area of Paphos since December 8, 2011. The Albanian-owned cargo vessel, built in the late 1960s, was leaving Limassol port in early December 2011, bound for Rhodes. Its engine encountered technical problems during bad weather, and the ship was forced onto rocks off the coast of Paphos, where it has remained stranded ever since.
The EDRO III weighs about 2,345 tones and is over 80 meters in length. The ship is now empty and lying on the rocks at an 11-12 degree angle. Embarking the ship is no longer permitted as it’s dangerous and there are warning signs in place.
The ship is an open story for kids which they will love listening to their parents about the history and the events that were lead to the accident.

Close to the location of the ship, going back on the main road you will encounter Municipal Park of Peyia . Kids will be able to run on the playground, while parents can relax under the sunshine. The playground is small but safe and surrounded. It offers nice entertaining for smaller and bigger kids as well. There are swings, seesaw and a slide. The playground is surrounded by a large area with grass where children can play badminton, football or just running, spending all their energy.

The Municipal Park of Peyia offers fantastic views to the sea but also nice walk through it’s gardens.

Just enjoy!

A Cosmic World in Paphos - indoor playground and bowling and... many more

Hello everybody,

Cosmic World is a place where you can enjoy it for very long hours doing lots of activities.
They have bowling lanes; a perfect organised and entertaining playground for kids, restaurant and every Thursday starting 19.30 is Bingo time. What is fantastic that everything is on the same floor. So you could play bowling, while the kids are playing and also you can go anytime you want.

The playground area is very big and the children can go out only trough one place. There is an area for the small children with a very nice selection of toys, electric bumper cars like new, Arcade Games all new, slides 4 types, balls and a roller slide (that is fun for sure! everybody was there).

This place is very very clean and everything is new and the airconditioning units are working marveleous.
You wouldn't want to get out of there!

They have also an very intersting spider net where the children have to climb trough the nets.

They are open every day for long hours starting with 11:00 in the morning, up to the last customer. Except Thursdays when the playground will be closed starting 19.30 because of the bingo schedule.

For this reason the location is perfect for kids which enjoy longer birthday parties. The restaurant area is next to the playground that makes the kids very easy to look after. Also another important info are the prices. The food and drinks prices are really good as I do not believe I saw anything in the menu more then 10 euro with the cheapest porkchop of only 7 euro.
So just be happy and enjoy Cosmic World!

Xyliatos dam and picnic place - a magic story

Hello everybody,

Cyprus is a new experience each day, only if you know how. You can”love him, hate him or know him”. I choose to know him and I can say know: “Nice to meet you Cyprus”.
I will never understand how you can drive so many hours in “such a small island”. Maybe some of you consider Cyprus small but from my experience the only way you can say is small is if you take this on a fast way. If you are taking it “siga siga” you are going to say that is too big for any of you, even for the people that are used to long driving.
Looking at the below picture I wonder how the sun light can change the water colour just giving you the pleasure to ask yourself if this is a small paradise?

There will always be questions about where to go and what to see. Just pick the right time of the day and run… the road is never ending in Cyprus.
My road took me to Xyliatos dam and picnic place. It is, if I can say far away from everything. Maybe that is why there was almost nobody there. Or maybe…. Because I was between the first people to discover it!
The lake is simply poetry. Hidden between the trees has soul and breaths. A 3.8 km trail takes you along his beautiful wings.

Talk to me says the lake and I will tell you the story: Once upon a time there was a little girl named Xylia. Her black big eyes were as dark as two olives.  She had long thin arms, red sun kissed lips and an amazing sweet smile. The story says that if you were watched by her, even for a few seconds you would feel the weaves of the lake deep in your soul and you would become blissful for your entire life. She had this gift since she was born up upon a cliff of the Xylitos village. Everybody was happy on this small little village and was living their lives as they were ending tomorrow. It is said that Xylia was lost one day in the deep woods, was alone and got very scared. Nobody is very sure what happened in those days but they are sure that Xylia is hiding now in the old olive tree that lives even now in the village. Whoever person goes to see that tree at down they will see Xylia and there dreams will come true. They will be forever happy.

If you have visited the dam just 50 m down the main street you are going to see Xyliatos Picnic place with very shaded tables and a small playground and other interesting trails which leaves from this place makes this place a very interesting place to go. I understood that some of these paths are for mountain bikes also.
The main street will lead you to the Xyliatos village. Their community webpage will let you know were the old olives tree lives…

Platania picnic place - born to be wild!!!

Hello everybody!

When you want to chill, to relax and to eat in the hot summer days there is only one name in Cyprus and this is Troodos Mountain. The higher you go the better.
Platania picnic place is up, in fact is up, is big and is shady. Platania picnic place is on the way towards Kakopetria village going from Limassol.

There is a very big and nice playground.  Lots of benches which I understood they became very crowded in certain weekends. Even if you are just passing by, this place is still worth stopping for children’s fun.

Or you could just choose to have a small Cypriot cup of coffee on the local coffee shop.

And do not forget is just a matter of time, lovely moments spent together as a family is what makes childhood memories the most beautiful period in their life. Each experience, each day with us are unique and should be lovely hours. Just take a nice game, a ball, run… make it for a happy day… these moments are just for us, enjoy the voice of your son calling you, smiling at you… you will never forget it.

Apesia Hills - Donkey Safari or more?

Hello everybody,

After two days missing from the web, here I am again with new experiences.
This one is one of the top.
Apesia Hills first. Apesia is a small village 15 minutes driving from the Troodos roundabout – Limassol towards the mountains. Pass Heritage school on your left, second street on your left towards Apesia, Korfi village.
This village is so unknown that I even did not believe that they have a unique “Tremithos” – a tree over 1000 years old, a traditional “Oil Refinery” over 100 years old and the old Venetian “Sterna” over 500 years old. At least this is what the people living here are saying ….
After you pass the village you follow the signs for Donkey Safari, up on the hills.

There are hills and hills in Cyprus that is for sure.
This hill has something special, the breathtaking view. The minute you are taking your breath and you are lifting your head you are amassed. You just forget why you are there and the only dream will be to have a cup of coffee and relax.
So first, relax….

Second, enjoy the lovely surroundings of this small farm; this place really makes you feel welcome.
Then, if it is not too sunny, you can choose between either diving in the swimming pool, have a nice home made 100% Cypriot authentic meze (call before), or run to the donkeys to enjoy the ride.

The animals are clean, not smelly at all and lovely. There are donkeys, goats and chickens. Riding a donkey is a nice experience as they are small, funny and swinging. Once you are on a donkey, you can continue enjoying the view of the hills while holding tight.

When you are down from the donkey just continue to relax as you have in front of you another Cypriot sunny and fantastic day.
There are plenty of things to do on this small farm and yes it is a unique experience if you ask me and my kids.
Little nice memories… a smile, a cry, a laugh in the eyes of your own little child... a moment of love… a moment of remembering.

For Donkey Safari you have to call before Phone: 96 713 034. The ride is 10 euro per Donkey (which holds one child or one child plus one adult).
